Saving Seahorses

Seahorses Need Our Help

Seahorses are some of the most enchanting and mysterious creatures in the ocean. They are also in trouble, struggling to survive in threatened habitats around the world—coral reefs, sea grass beds and mangrove forests. That’s why it’s so important that we tell their story—and make a difference for their survival.

Exciting New Exhibits

Next April, when we open our new special exhibition, "The Secret Lives of Seahorses," we’ll take you into their
world—a "secret garden"—to explore their mystifying behaviors and unusual adaptations. You’ll meet several amazing animals, including West Australian and zebra-snout seahorses, ribboned pipehorses, bluestripe pipefish and yellow-banded pipefish.

Please Join Us Today

Meeting seahorses face to face is a life-changing experience that will inspire people to become advocates for seahorses and their fragile habitats. Your gift today will help make this possible and provide critical support for our research, policy and education programs.
